As a graduate of Manukau Institute of Technology, I enter the nursing profession with a unique multidisciplinary lens, transitioning from a background in dental surgery to a career defined by holistic, person-centred care. My seven years of experience in community support, alongside diverse clinical placements, have prepared me to deliver culturally safe and resilient care within the mental health and district nursing sectors. I am now dedicated to leveraging my unique multidisciplinary background to contribute to the excellence of the New Zealand healthcare system as a Registered Nurse. At the heart of my nursing philosophy is Manaakitanga—the act of upholding the dignity and well-being of others. By weaving the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into my daily practice, I strive to be real in my interactions, connected with my colleagues and community, and excellent in my practice. I am eager to bring these values to practice and to grow as a nurse who makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

I am a 43-year-old, dedicated healthcare professional with a rich tapestry of life experience that informs my nursing practice. Originally from India and having called Aotearoa New Zealand home for the past decade, I strive to bridge diverse cultural perspectives with the specific healthcare needs of our local communities.
